Finest Hour - Card Number 93: Explore The City

“And there I was, stranded in a city I had never seen before, surrounded by creatures I never even knew existed in reality. Walking lizards, goblins, some strange elephant like things and even humans. Can you believe that? Humans! All speaking in languages I could not understand. It was rather alien.”

“Alien? No, no no… Exciting! So much new to see, so many new friends to make!”

“Easy to say, Pinkie, you havens seen Rakdos cultists in action... But I am getting ahead of myself... Where was I?"

"In Ravnica, silly!"

"Rhetorical question, Pinkie. Rhetorical..."

Walking through streets filled with strange persons, looking at arcane goods and avoiding being eaten by growling beasts, Spike was determined to find a way home, to see his beloved friends again, and to protect them from the dangers that they would face in the future. He had no idea where he were, and even less of an idea of how to get home, but sitting down and cry would not solve the problem. Even worse, it might draw unwanted attention. Quick to avoid danger, he weaved through the crowds of citizen, avoiding giant's crushing footsteps, carts moving way too closely for comfort and various other everyday threats in the buzzing street life.

Most citizen were, luckily, a lot larger than Spike, so avoiding unwanted attention was easy. Apart from all those looking at the various stores, they all seemed very tense, as if something great was stirring in the city. Especially those with two-colored clothes. As he passed someone selling dried herbs and flowers, he heard a familiar noise behind him: The sound of hooves. Could it be the others, having sought him out somehow, coming to rescue him from this urban maze? He quickly turned around, but to his great disappointment, he did not see any of his friends. instead, he saw the mighty centaur the hooves he had heard belonged to, and it did not look like it had time to stop for anyone. Spike could hear a great deal of noise coming from the streets ahead, most likely where the centaur were heading. A mix of shouts, screams, stuff breaking and the clanging of metal against metal.

Ahead in the streets, the traffic had broken down into a gridlock, as a fight between two of the groups with dual colored clothing were rapidly escalating. A contingent of red- and white-clad soldiers were seemingly protecting civilians from a gang of red- and black-clad rioters, and the resulting fight and flight threatened to bring the whole city district into chaos. Trying to sneak past the thrown spears, spikes and fireballs, Spike crept behind a series of stands as their owners were busy packing up to save their goods. One cart thrown by an ogre later, and a stand with jewelry were smashed to pieces, sending gems and gold flying everywhere. Spike, not knowing when the next meal would come by, grabbed a bag from the ground and managed to get away. Anywhere but here.

Holding on to his new bag of food, Spike escaped the now fight engulfed street, as loud screams and clanging weapons sounded behind him. Looking over his shoulder, he saw an angel swooping down on the hooligans. In a blaze of white-hot fire, she brought the fight to an end, sending the hooligans and surrounding citizen fleeing for their lives, while the remaining soldiers began to clear the road of smashed carts and stands. Seeking refuge from the busy districts, Spike took a few lucky turns, before finding himself in a tranquil park, filled with beautiful trees and fountains, bird song and small animals. Sitting on a fountain decorated with strange triangular symbols, he opened the bag with gems, wanting to get some food before trying to find someone friendly. Perhaps those white and red spires over there, that somehow reminded him of Canterlot. There was even winged creatures flying around them. At this distance, it was hard to see what, but it could be a pegasus.

(Working on a card for Jace at the moment, does anyone have a good idea or two for non-ultimate abilities? I am a bit stuck)

This card is cool and I like it, however, tutoring for ANY land is an UNCOMMON ability. Make sure to change this card's rarity.
